Stewardship Morning at Chocorua Lake Basin View Lot

  • Chocorua Lake Basin View Lot 572 Chocorua Mountain Hwy Tamworth, NH, 03817 United States (map)

Get to know the land and community around the Chocorua Lake Basin as a stewardship volunteer.

Please join Chocorua Lake Conservancy Stewardship Director Debra Marnich on Wednesday, September 21, 9-11AM, for a Stewardship Morning at the CLC’s Chocorua Lake Basin View Lot on Route 16 south of Chocorua Lake. We’ll be removing small saplings in the field below the Basin View Lot to prepare this rocky field with uneven ground for hand-mowing with trimmers.

Bring work gloves and sturdy long-handled clippers or a small hand saw if you have them, water and a snack, and please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. We will have some tools available if needed. Be prepared for bugs and ticks just in case. Feel free to come for all or some of the morning. We’ll meet at the Grove on Chocorua Lake Road just off Rt. 16 and walk or carpool to the Basin View Lot from there. Please register below so that we can let you know of any changes in the schedule.
