We are pleased to share Chocorua Lake Conservancy’s first board-approved Strategic Plan. The process to create this plan began in 2019 with a community survey, and drafting began in 2023 with the Strategic Plan Steering Committee. Between 2023 and 2025, board members (former and current), staff, committee members, and many CLC members contributed to the formation of this plan and informed the initiatives.

The Strategic Plan is the map that CLC will follow to ensure that we continue to fulfill our mission of land conservation, water quality protection, trail stewardship, and public access. The plan outlines four overarching, strategic goals:

  1. Land Stewardship,

  2. Access & Outreach,

  3. Organizational Strength, and

  4. Organizational Resources.

Under each of these are Sustained Activities and new Strategic Initiatives, which are specific steps CLC will take to achieve the goal. The plan includes information about the initiatives and the planned implementation timeline, required board, committee, and staff support, relative costs, and expected funding sources.
