Next Gen at the Lake

  • The Grove, Chocorua Lake (map)

Calling local folks in your 20s, 30s, or 40s! Interested in what goes into maintaining the beautiful outdoor places we are so lucky to enjoy in this region? Curious about land conservation and stewardship? Want to meet other young people who enjoy time outdoors and giving back to the natural world that sustains us?

On Thursday, July 30 from 5:30–7:30 PM, join Chocorua Lake Conservancy for a Next Gen for Conservation night at the Grove at Chocorua Lake. Come meet other folks interested in outdoor recreation and land conservation, learn about volunteer opportunities with CLC, and connect over the beautiful spaces we call home. Enjoy refreshments and an (optional) dip in the lake, too! Sign up to let us know you are coming.

For generations, volunteers in our community have taken action to protect ecological health and create publicly-accessible natural spaces. Today, we face new and complex challenges, including climate change. Proactive and continuous efforts are needed to ensure that these beautiful spaces thrive for generations to come. Come have a drink with us and hear how you can get involved, including: taking photos, clearing trails, serving on a committee, watering plantings, or planning an event!
