Chocorua Lake Conservancy (CLC) is excited to announce two seasonal AmeriCorps opportunities at Chocorua Lake Conservancy, via Lakes Region Conservation Corps!
We are seeking two half-term AmeriCorps members from May 18 to October 28, 2026, one to serve as Land Steward, and one to serve as Outreach & Access Steward.

AmeriCorps positions come with free housing, an aggregate living allowance of $10,200, an AmeriCorps Segal Education Award of $3,697, student loan forbearance and interest accrual repayment on qualifying loans, Wilderness First Aid & CPR Certification, a NH Commercial Boating Licence, the possibility of other professional trainings, and the opportunity to learn a lot about the work of a small land trust and gain valuable experience in conservation work. Land Steward
The Land Steward will assist with the annual monitoring of private properties in the Chocorua Lake Basin protected by conservation agreements, the management of CLC’s conserved (fee-owned) properties, and with data collection, education programs, and outreach.
Outreach & Access Steward
The Outreach & Access Steward will support sustainable public access at Chocorua Lake and on conservation land in the Chocorua Lake Basin, assist with trail maintenance, support volunteer projects on CLC conservation properties, assist with educational programs, and communicate the work of CLC in creative ways, digitally and in person.
