Please join the Cook Memorial Library and the Chocorua Lake Conservancy for “Climate Health Roadshow,” a presentation by retired cardiologist Bob Dewey, co-chair of the Speakers’ Bureau at NH Healthcare Workers for Climate Action. Part of NH Healthcare Workers for Climate Action’s mission is to educate other healthcare workers and the public about the very serious health effects of climate change. In this presentation, Bob shares climate science basics and discusses the health effects of climate change and the health risks posed by climate change-related phenomena including extreme heat, pollen and allergens, air pollution, extreme weather events, and vector-borne diseases. He also discusses climate and clean energy solutions, and actions we can take as individuals. His presentation is followed by a Q&A.
